Kevin and the Coconuts, a steelband based in Mendocino, California, plays a lively mix of Calypso, Soca, latin and original tunes, with the greatest musical inspiration coming from the islands of Trinidad and Cuba. The band is comprised of Kevin Grant, pan-builder, tuner and arranger on lead pan and double seconds and vocal; Annie Lee on the three cello pans and vocal; Dalen Anderson on the four bass pans and vocal; Steve Paul on Trumpet, Doubles and vocal. Dan Albrect on drum set and percussion and vocal; and Paul Schulman on congas bon-go and vocal.
